1. Use as less make-up as possible.

When traveling you do not have much of time for your beauty routine, or access to many of your favorite products. Who knows when you will find the time to fix up your lipstick or mascara. Instead of letting makeup sit on your skin and gather all the dirt around, better skip heavy foundation and lipstick.

2. Keep your hands away from your face!

As simple as that.

3. Hydrate

If there is one product that is a must – it is a good moisturizer. The changing weather conditions and the dry dirty air in plain and trains can be really damaging to your skin. Apply moisturizer regularly to achieve a fresh look. And don’t forget to drink plenty of water.

4. Sunscreen

Don’t go out without applying a sunscreen. – even when it’ not so sunny outside. Ten years from now you wont regret it.

5. Improvise beauty products

If you are like me and like traveling light, just take any opportunity to improvise and make your own beauty products. Many of the ingredients you need, you already have – you can use coffee as body scrub, honey and cinnamon for cleansing face mask, olive/coconut oil to hydrate and strengthen your hair. And, you know you can use a sock to make a nice bun hair-style, right?

6. Buy multi-purpose beauty products

If you still insist taking some of your favorite beauty products, then buy some of those 2-in-1 beauty products. Lip and cheek combo, for example, will safe you space and money.

7. Hand luggage only

You travel with hand luggage only? No problem. These days you can find solid perfumes, solid shampoo bars, even solid body tints!

8. Learn the tricks

Let’s face it, some days your hair will look dirty no matter what you do. Learn how to “hide” it. Light scarf may be exactly what you need to freshen up your look. Try different types of hats. Learn which hair styles complements your look when you don’t have the time for those beautiful curls you are used to do at home.

9. Enjoy yourself

Don’t worry to much about how you look and what you wear. Enjoy the experience. After all, happiness suits everyone! And this is one of the best beauty tips I can ever give you!
